Stress Test Study
All patients in this 125-subject study were tested with PREVU* Point of Care (POC) Skin Sterol Test, serum cholesterol and a treadmill exercise stress test.
Results of the study showed that skin cholesterol was significantly correlated with stress test results. The data also suggested that the predictive value of skin cholesterol did not diminish following adjustments for serum lipids and other risk factors, including age, gender, body mass index, hip-to-waist ratio, familial history of CAD, diabetes, hypertension and smoking.
