LungAlert™ Pilot Trial

The trial included 76 patients, of whom 23 had known cancer. The rest either had benign lung disease (e.g., bronchitis) or were healthy volunteers. All patients were blinded to the investigators.  LungAlert™ successfully identified 20 of 23 cancers, or 87%. Of those, LungAlert™ detected 13 of 15 classified as stage 1 or 2 (early-stage) and 7 of 7 classified as stage 3 or 4 (late-stage). One cancer was unclassified.
