Breast Cancer Test

Pivotal Study

In May 2005, PreMD announced the launch of a pivotal clinical study for its breast cancer test, designed to confirm and extend the findings from the pilot study.

The 78-patient study will examine nipple aspirate fluid (NAF) from three different female populations:  women with no history of breast cancer; women who have a core biopsy-confirmed unilateral ductal carcinoma in situ; and women who have a core biopsy-confirmed unilateral invasive breast cancer.

The study will take place at the University of Louisville Hospital, Norton Healthcare facilities and the University of Louisville’s James Graham Brown Cancer Center, all located in Lousiville, Kentucky.
